Do I need mouse drivers?
Today's operating systems no longer require drivers for standard mouse interoperability. If your computer has a standard one or two button mouse and you are using a current version of your operating system, you do not need to install any special drivers to use your mouse.
- Getting the mouse to work in MS-DOS.
- If you have a mouse that is not working, see the mouse help page for additional troubleshooting steps in finding out the problem.
Some pointing devices have special hardware features (extra buttons or a trackball, for instance). To make use of these features, download the drivers for your device, and any required software, from the website of the device manufacturer.
