Amazon Flex

Introduced in 2015, Amazon Flex is a platform that allows items purchased from Amazon.com and Amazon services to be delivered faster by crowdsourcing the job to drivers at a nearby location. Users of Amazon Flex (once registered and background checked) can open the application to choose shifts and deliver packages for a predetermined amount of time. Flex drivers are paid an hourly wage by Amazon, similar to ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft, for delivering items from the nearest Amazon warehouse directly to the consumer's address.
