ARCnet

Short for Attached Resource Computer network, ARCnet was a computer network developed in 1977 by Datapoint Corporation. The network used coaxial cables capable of transferring up to 2.5 MB per second, supported up to 256 computers, and a maximum frame size of 516 bytes.

ARCnetPlus is a newer version of ARCnet capable of transferring up to 20 MB per second.
