CLS

CLS may refer to any of the following:

1. With a command line like MS-DOS, cls is a command to clear the screen.

Tip

A command line like Linux that does not have a cls command uses the clear command.

2. Short for Cumulative Layout Shift, CLS is a core web vitals assessment measurement that rates how much content on a web page moves as it's loading. For example, when first visiting a web page (especially with a slow Internet connection), you may begin reading the page and be interrupted by text moving from something else loading. This movement (shift) is what the CLS measurement ranks. Any website with a CLS score of 0.1 or less is good, and a score of 0.25 or higher is poor.
