In general, hidden refers to any text or other objects that are hidden from view. For example, on a Windows computer, this could refer to a hidden file, which is a computer file that is marked as hidden from everyone, unless the"Show hidden files" option is enabled. To make a file truly hidden, a third-party application needs to be installed. Or, on a Unix-like system such as Linux, BSD, or macOS, permissions may be restricted so only the owner (you) can view the file.
