The practice of jailbreaking on iOS devices or rooting on Android devices provides additional capabilities for modifying a device's software beyond the manufacturer's intentions. If you don't root or jailbreak your device correctly, it can cause permanent damage. Also, these actions often void the warranty of the device or prevent users from receiving manufacturer support. Sometimes, jailbreaking may also be used to obtain free software or content illegally.

For all these reasons, Computer Hope does not provide instructions for jailbreaking or rooting your smartphone or tablet.
