Blink
Blink may refer to any of the following:
1. In general, blink describes the intermittent flashing of a light. For example, a computer LED (light-emitting diode) may blink when data is copied to or from a hard drive.
A blinking light often indicates something is happening. For example, data transfer or a battery charging.
A blinking light can also indicate a hardware problem. For example, an Apple Mac power cord blinking means there is a problem with the battery or charging hardware. The device's documentation will explain these.
2. With HTML, blink was an HTML (hypertext markup language) tag that created blinking text on a web page. The blink tag is no longer supported in more recent browser versions. See our <blink> page for further information.
3. In gaming, Blink is the name of a spell that teleports the character from one place to another. For example, in the game World of Warcraft, Blink is a spell the mage class uses to teleport the caster 20 yards forward, unless something is in the way. In addition, the spell frees the caster from stuns and bonds.
