Predator

A cyber predator, predator, or online predator is a person on the Internet who seeks out vulnerable parties for exploitation. While there are predators who scam unwitting or unwilling individuals for monetary gain, the most common type are sexual predators who target adults and minors.

Predators often use platforms such as social networking sites, Internet forums, chat rooms, and instant messaging apps, as they provide them with a certain degree of anonymity. Furthermore, these platforms tend to relax the victim and lower their inhibitions as the interactions with the predator aren't face to face.
