Split
- Taking one whole object and dividing it into two or more sections. For example, a user may take one full window and split that window into two windows allowing two or more files to be displayed at once.
- When referring to a chat server, a split is the separation of one or more chat servers.
- The processes of taking a segment of data and dividing the data into two or more portions.
