Letter-quality

Updated: 10/01/2023 by Computer Hope

Sometimes abbreviated as LQ, letter-quality is the quality of the printed output of a printer. It should be equal to or better than what a standard electronic typewriter can produce. An example of an early dot matrix letter-quality printer is the Apple ImageWriter LQ printer. Today's laser printers and inkjet printers can print letter-quality characters.
