Pg Up key

Page down keyShort for Page Up key, the PGUP, PU, PgUp, or Pg Up key is a computer keyboard key found between the keyboard and the numeric pad or on the numeric pad number 9 key.

When this key is pressed, if the page currently being viewed has more than one page, the page moves up one page. For example, if you scroll down on this web page or any web page on the Internet, and press the Pg Up key, it scrolls the page up.

Note: Apple computer keyboards do not have a Page Up key on the numeric keypad.

How to use the Pg Up key on the numeric keypad

For the number 9 to work as a page up key instead of typing out the number 9 turn the Num Lock off.

Note: Apple computer keyboards do not have a Num Lock key or the ability to have the 9 key act as a page up key.

What are the uses of the Pg Up key?

In addition to moving up one page at a time, while in a text document if you hold down the Shift key and press the Pg Up key, the computer highlights one page at a time.
