Pg Up key

Page down key

Short for Page Up key, the PGUP, PU, PgUp, or Pg Up key is a computer keyboard key found between the keyboard and the numeric pad or on the numeric pad number 9 key.

When this key is pressed, if the page currently being viewed has more than one page, the page moves (scrolls) up one page. For example, scroll down this web page and press Pg Up to scroll back up.

Where is the Page Up key on the keyboard?

Apple computer keyboards do not have a Page Up key on the numeric keypad.

How to use the Pg Up key on the numeric keypad

For the number 9 to work as a page up key, instead of typing out the number 9, turn the Num Lock off.

Apple computer keyboards do not have a Num Lock key or the ability to have the 9 key act as a page up key.

What are the uses of the Pg Up key?

While in a text document, press Shift and Pg Up to highlight one page up from the cursor's current location.
