Warp may refer to any of the following:

WAR{

1. Short for Warning, Advice and Reporting Point, WARP is part of the NISCC (National Infrastructure Security Co-ordination Centre) information sharing strategy. WARP helps combat the increasing risk of electronic attack on our information systems.

In February 2007, the NISCC merged with the NSAC (National Security Advice Centre), creating the CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure). CPNI provides security advice to businesses in the UK, helping to protect national security. CPNI continued to promote WARP in the UK after 2007.

2. Alternatively referred to as teleport, warp is a term used to describe the process of instantaneously advancing from one location to another location. For example, in a computer game, a player may warp from one part of the world to another without having to walk.

3. A warp is a term also used to describe a player in a computer game who has a high ping; causing their character to vanish and reappear every once in awhile due to packet loss.

4. Warp can also be short for OS/2 Warp.
