Answer:

When browsing Microsoft Windows Explorer users may get the error message "Windows Explorer filename, directory name, or volume syntax is incorrect". This issue is caused when a folder called "desktop" is on the Desktop. To resolve this issue delete, rename, or move the "desktop" folder from the Desktop.
