Pg Up key

PGShort for Page Up key, the PGUP, PU, PgUp, or Pg Up key is a computer keyboard key found between the keyboard and the numeric pad or on the numeric pad number 9 key.

When this key is pressed, if the page currently being viewed has more than one page, the page moves up one page. For example, if you scroll down on this web page or any web page on the Internet and press the Pg Up key it scrolls the page up.

How to use the Pg Up key on the numeric keypad

For the number 9 to work as a page up key instead of typing out the number 9 you must have the Num Lock off.

What are some of the other uses of the Pg Up key?

If you are in a text document and hold down the Shift key and press the Pg Up key, the computer will highlight one page up from where the cursor is at a time.
