Ctrl+7

Alternatively known as Control 7 and C-7, Ctrl+7 is a shortcut key most often used to switch to the seventh tab in a browser or another program with tab support.

How to use the Ctrl+7 shortcut key

To use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+7, press and hold either Ctrl key on the keyboard and while continuing to hold, press the "7" key with either hand.

Note

The "7" used with this shortcut is the "7" at the top of the keyboard and not on the numeric keypad.

Using Ctrl+7 in an Internet browser

With all major Internet browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox), pressing Ctrl+7 switches to the seventh tab.

Note

If you only have six tabs open, pressing Ctrl+7 does nothing.
