Used as a unit of measurement, TTFB is an acronym for time to first byte. TTFB is the time it takes for a single byte of data to travel from server to client when a web page is requested. The lower TTFB a page has, the less time it takes for the page to be accessed. This metric is useful to developers when optimizing web pages and search engines when ranking them.
