January 30, 2004 - Gateway Inc. announced plans to acquire eMachines Inc. for about $200 million.

December 29, 2001 - eMachines is the latest company to receive a NASDAQ warning about a possible delisting of its stock, as the company struggles to pump up slowing sales and its sagging stock price. The company has until March 20 to get its share price above $1 for 10 consecutive trading days, or it faces the possibility of getting kicked off the NASDAQ. The exchange sent a warning letter to the company last week.
