A footer may refer to any of the following:

1. In general, a footer is an area at the bottom of a document page that contains data common to other pages. The information in footers, which includes things like such as page numbers, creation dates, copyrights, or references that can be changed on all pages in a document at the same time.

2. When referring to HTML, the <footer> tag is used to designate a footer for a document or a section of content.
