A footer may refer to any of the following:

1. In general, a footer is an area at the bottom of a document page containing data common to other pages. The footer information may include page numbers, creation dates, copyrights, or references that appear on a single page or all pages.

2. With HTML (hypertext markup language), the <footer> designates a footer for a document or a section of content.
