Originally released on September 11, 2015, Android Pay was an app for Android smartphones. It allowed users to add funds, as well as credit/debit cards, to a digital wallet that they can use to make purchases through various means, including tap-to-pay and online stores.

Android Pay has since been replaced by Google Pay as Google had moved all its services under its brand name. However, it has nearly all the same features, aside from peer-to-peer payments.

How do I use the tap-to-pay feature for Android Pay?

Tap-to-pay is a feature that utilizes NFC to allow smartphone users to purchase goods and services. Once you've added a payment source, hold your device near the payment terminal while pressing your finger on the fingerprint reader, or enter your PIN.
