How to use the Shift+F5 keyboard shortcut

To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Shift, and while continuing to hold, press the F5 key.

Pressing Shift+F5 in Microsoft Excel opens the find and replace window.

Tip

The Ctrl+H keyboard shortcut performs the same function.

Shift+F5 in Microsoft PowerPoint

Pressing Shift+F5 in Microsoft PowerPoint starts the slide show starting from the selected slide.

Shift+F5 in Microsoft Word

Pressing Shift+F5 in Microsoft Word moves the cursor to the last revision made in the document. Pressing this shortcut again moves the cursor to the change made before the last revision. Continuing to press this shortcut may move you back several revisions. This shortcut is helpful for when you're working on a long document and forget what you last changed.
