Temperature may refer to any of the following:

1. With computers, temperature refers to the heat generated and released by various components, including the CPU (central processing unit), power supply, and video card. Temperature is measured in degrees, either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Some computer components have a heat sink and fan to help pull heat away from the component, to prevent overheating.

2. Temperature may refer to ambient temperature. See our ambient definition for more information.
