Page Break

Updated: 04/01/2018 by Computer Hope

A Page Break or hard page break is a code inserted by a software program such as word processor that tells the printing device where to end the current page and begin the next. After the Page Break is inserted into the document, a symbol indicating the page break or "Page Break" is shown, and the cursor is placed on the next page.

Tip: To delete a page break, move the cursor to the Page Break line or in front of the page break and press the delete key on the keyboard.

Tip: If your printer is starting a new page or printing blank pages where it shouldn't, page breaks may be in the document. To verify the document contains no hidden page breaks enable formatting marks.
