How to access Internet browser settings

Internet browsers

Every Internet browser has a settings menu to adjust features like privacy options, security settings, search engine preferences, autofill and autocomplete behavior, and more. To access your Internet browser settings, choose from the list below and follow the instructions.

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click the Customize and control Google Chrome Chrome Menu Icon icon.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select Settings.

Firefox logo

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. Click the menu icon Firefox menu in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  3. Near the bottom of the drop-down menu, select Settings.

Safari logo

Safari

  1. Open the Safari browser.
  2. Select Safari selector from the menu bar in the top-left corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings... from the drop-down menu.

Tip

You can also press the Command+, (comma) keyboard shortcut to access Safari settings.

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
  2. Click the Settings and more icon Microsoft Edge More menu in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  3. In the drop-down menu near the bottom, select Settings.

  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click the Tools Internet explorer tools icon icon.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select Internet options.
