A graphic may refer to any of the following:

1. In general, the term graphic refers to a design or visual image displayed on various surfaces, including canvas, paper, walls, signs, or a computer monitor. They are created for entertainment, branding, or providing information.

2. When describing a hardware device or card, graphics is often describing a graphics card, commonly called a video card.

3. CG or Computer Graphics are any image media, usually movies and pictures that are created through hardware and software. They are often called CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery). An example of a computer graphic is the picture shown on this page. More complex CGI may be like the visual effects seen in a movie.

4. Graphic may also describe a phrase, gesture, or image that is considered obscene or offensive.
